Special Operations Command Biometrics
Lafayette Group supported the initiative between elements of the Special Operations Command and the law enforcement community in the area of long range facial recognition test and evaluation. This project provided important test results in the use of facial recognition at a distance with the latest commercial algorithms available in the biometrics industry. This project assisted in the development of expeditionary capabilities to support law enforcement and military operations.

Facial Recognition for Operational Law Enforcement Counter-Terrorism Activities
Lafayette Group implemented the final phases of the development of an expanded facial recognition data sharing partnership between Federal, State, and local agencies. A partnership of 20 agencies with a database capacity of 10 million images enrolled in one of the latest facial recognition algorithms available in the biometrics industry has been created through the initiative. Facial recognition applications have been expanded into the corrections, patrol, and investigative divisions; this includes the deployment of 180 mobile facial recognition applications throughout one of Florida’s Regional Domestic Security Task Forces.
